33 Other and Another

OTHER,  ANOTHER...

ANOTHER é utilizada no singular e se refere a substantivos singulares. Usamos quando queremos acrescentar, diferenciar ou mostrar igualdade entre partes.:

*Should we open another bottle of wine?

OTHER é utilizada no plural e se refere a substantivos plurais. É usado para se referir a todos os membros de um grupo exceto os que já foram mencionados.

*Leaders from China, Russia and other 3 nations are in the conference.

OTHERS (outros ou outras) é usada para evitar a repetição de palavras em uma sentença. O uso do artigo the é opcional:

*Some girls like reading books. Others prefer magazines.
